Chris Wilson of The Mistakes for Autism Awareness and Hollywood Punk Glam Music from the 90's

We take a moment to talk with Chris Wilson from The Mistakes about the old days in Hollywood, California. The 90's had some of the best Punk Glam Warehouse Parties of all time.

Chris also discusses the organizations he supports for Autism, since April is Autism Awareness Month.

Erik makes the mistake of ranting on the wrong tweet to the Grammys. Doja Cat fans were not happy with him!

The Gen X Brothers wonder why the Grammys don't represent metal music like they use to. No honorable mention of Slipknots' Joey Jordison

Chris also takes us back to the good old days with stories about: Marilyn Manson, Revolution Hazy, Rock Stars Kill, The Zeros, Alley Cat Scratch, Queeny Blast Pop, Foxy Roxx, The Unflushables, and more.

Chris Wilson Bass Player and founding member of the L.A. punk/glam band The Mistakes. After I moved back to FL, my dad (Paul Wilson) started focusing on his music again. He had a bunch of songs and asked me to play bass. Paul Wilson & Friends became the new band and often included my nephew. I also founded a nonprofit called We Rock for Autism that I ran for a few years and I also helped a buddy who put a cookbook together to support autism. Kenny from Nova Rex and I got recipes from a variety of rock stars and put them together for Rockin' Recipes for Autism. I linked up again with Revolution Hazy singer, Kelly Page was in a band with his nephew Kyle, and after hearing the songs, I invited myself to play bass. We played together for a few years in a band called Fairly Amazing. Kelly and Kyle are still at it, but I just focus my time on work and family now. I am currently booking one last show. This show is in honor of my dad who is battling cancer right now. Chris's Website

Hello, I'm Erik (Air-iK) Fullmer. After seeing my first Heavy Metal concert in 1984 I started playing guitar. I was 16 years old and was living in a small town called Atwater in California. I then formed a band with some friends in high school. In 1990 my band Willow Wisp moved to Hollywood to become ROCK STARS! After sixteen years of playing the Sunset Strip, being signed to a couple of independent labels, releasing a few albums and building a small base of loyal fans that were spread out all over the world, the ROCK STAR thing didn’t exactly happen as planned. After accumulating a love for alcohol that became an addiction of the worse kind, I was forced to leave my band in 2006. In 2011 I decided to turn my life around. I got the Hell out of Los Angeles and moved to Portland Oregon and with some help from my brother and sister in law I entered an outpatient rehab program. Now 8 years sober and for the past three and a half years I have been working as a CADC I alcohol and drug counselor here in Portland Oregon. Today I continue to write and record new music and have a new album in the works. In the last few years since I've gotten back into the full swing of singing, playing guitar and writing music, I feel I have exponentially grown a musician. Now, I’m looking forward to what is to come on this new journey into the world of Podcasting!
